Town turns out to give draftees a big sendoff

UPDATE (8/13/2016): I emailed the Natick Historical Society a while back about the 4/6/1942 letter (https://www.dearaudrey.org/april-6-1942-dear-audrey/) where Dad mentions the local paper getting a picture of them "marching" down the street to the train station where they left from when drafted. The Natick Historical Society are really nice and they said they'd look into it for me. Well, I heard back and while they couldn't find the picture referred to, they did find the front page of the Natick Bulletin with an article about it. What a sweet thing for a small town to do in 1942. The town of Natick showed up for a festive, gala sendoff with a family, friends, the high school marching band, and remarks by VIPs:
